Carrie Rosenbloom, JD, LMFT
I am a former family law attorney and and current family therapist and mediator. I have vast knowledge of family law and family therapeutic needs during divorce. I understand the emotional toll divorce takes on families and on professionals. As a practitioner, I recognize that the court system has limited resources and insight into the emotional needs of families. This often leaves clients with inadequate resources for self-repair or repairing their families. These inadequacies are often left for professionals to bridge, and many professionals do not have the most effective tools to help effectively.
I have developed a Divorce Informed™ approach for lawyers, law related professionals, and mental health professionals to increase the support and advocacy they offer clients, while protecting their own mental health and boundaries. Through research and clinical work, I am eager to share the information that I have gained about ways to help clients and families become proactive in anticipating high conflict scenarios. This can include supporting fractured family relationships between a parent and child(ren), recreating coparenting dynamics to a functional level during and after divorce, and many other issues that stem from underlying issues and nuances, mental health and otherwise, that inhibit cohesion amongst divorcing families.
Becoming Divorce Informed™ means that you see the children beyond the client and can advocate for their needs and future while advocating for your client. As a lawyer and a therapist, I have supported many families in ways that the court cannot, and have been impressed with the outcome for the client, the family and my own personal and professional growth. I invite you to join me as we change the landscape of divorce and create a new paradigm that supports collaboration, resources, and growth during and after divorce proceedings.
